Laetitia's fashion. more!
yes! more doodles to illustrate how fashionable I am!
I actually DID wear this outfit once, ..well, truthfully they weren't really traditional Holland clothes but fakes. And the cheese was made of plastic. But it all looked really legit.
Laetitia's fashion
behold; my bedtime fashion!
This is actually what I am wearing at this very moment!
Even Waffie is within my reach to complete the look (but of course he is so much more than a fashion statement <3)
(I forgot to draw those little strings from the hoodie D= okay, I planned to add them later on the pc but got lazy)
the first 20x20cm commission: sweet sixteen
These two portraits were my first commission in this size, I got requested to make a portrait of this girl for her 16th birthday by her mum.
I made two portraits because I wasn't satisfied with the first one, the second one turned out much better luckily. :D
(they were both sold however because the mum thought they still look nice together ;D as a pair)
this is the second and final version (click on 'more' to see the first one) |
piano
I made this yesterday but our connection was gone V__V
my apologies for the messy coloring, I didn't want to make the piano that dark (even though it's black in real life) because this gave me trouble in the third panel.
hmm, it's too bad.. in the character sketches I'd made of ..the guy with glasses, he looked better (more recognizable as being my irl friend), and well, the profile one was just a bit difficult, I will try to appear more from the front in the future.

smooth
oops, he looks like a kid, but is actually older.. and just short.
sorry for the ..fold?.. shadow in the left, it's because it's in my sketch book, I could cut it out and all and there would be no shadow, but nah.

selca trio
yay group selca's!
based on a true event.
oh! I forgot to add music notes, because he really did continue playing the piano while we were taking pictures.

fb creeping
Truthfully I often just skip the first step and neurotically check my own pictures/profile after adding someone new to make sure they won't see stupid pictures of me.
And of course, I'm just so much fun to stalk.

fangirl
I went to a book-presentation (that should be the right word, I think) by a Dutch writer, Theodor Holman, some days ago.
copic
Behold.. the first drawing I did using my copic markers in this manner. (yeah, the rosy cheeks are a bit much, let's say that's because I'm new to this technique)
ah, but I really like this technique, it makes me want to buy new markers too.
the drawing itself isn't really good, also, I think it's not really clear enough that she's tilting her head backwards. if you keep that in mind while looking at it, it looks less weird, doesn't it, now?Tuesday, 16 April 2013
portraits of two sisters
Model Boy
I like this style (:
but I'm not so very sure about the black background, I think I actually like it more without it. (click on this post or 'read more' to see this pretty boy without the all-consuming darkness around him)
What do you think?
(sorry, I didn't make the black reach fr enough, and.. I don't feel like re-doing it and re-scanning it so.. yeah, you get the idea, right? ;D) |

public transportation sketches
Guess what I.. uhh, this girl was drawing.
so then here's another one. interesting fact (actually not so interesting at all): I drew those two drawings in the same evening!

Girl
I drew this girl in my sketchbook but the scan was sooo bad, that I had to redo the line-art to make it visible. So I also quickly colored it ^^

Sexy Sculpture
I've been doing model sculpting since a few weeks. There was a model doing the same pose for three weeks, so we'd have 3 weeks to start and finish the sculpture. But since I would've left the country this Saturday, I finished mine last week. Because of that, I was able to do another one. I didn't feel like making roughly the same sculpture as in the past week. So I decided to make a cartoon-y one.
Check out her curves! Is she sexy or what? ;D
I wanted to give her a simple, pretty face (it might still be a bit too realistic tho), and the teacher remarked 'she looks like you' when she saw what I'd been doing. oh! I don't really agree but I did feel flattered. (^3^)
One Shot step by step
I often make scans when I'm working on a portrait. I started doing that because I really liked how one portrait looked at one point but.. I still had to do the glasses, and I was afraid I'd ruin the portrait with that.. so I made a scan so I would still have the good one stored on my pc. later I figured it was fun to scan during the work. I can say it's so you can see the progress, but mostly it's just funny to see a drawing 'grow'. :p

Commissions
interested
in my work? great!
I make
portraits, using the same technique as I use for my ongoing series One Shot
(click here for a small example selection), which I also applied in my
Christmas series.
up until
this moment, I've been making them in two formats:
- 10x10cm for 20euros
- 20x20cm for 40euros
If you'd
like it to be a different format, don't worry; there's more canvass-sizes than
these two. ;p
And feel
free to mail me about any other requests concerning my work. ^^
Christmas portraits
This is a selection of portraits I made for my family's Christmas dinner. These portraits are a bit different from the ones I usually make, and not only because they've got Christmas-themed background colors, neen. In these portraits I also drew lines with pen after finishing the colors and such, this can make them look more like drawings instead of paintings, and more detailed. I think.
Best Of: One Shot
Japanese Castle in the Sky
this is a castle in the sky I designed for Yvonne Schoutsen, the request was a castle in the clouds that looked like a Japanese temple. So I tried to combine the structure of Western castles with the style of Japanese castles.
Yvonne is going to visit temples in Japan and has made a small book about it, more about that on her website: http://www.yvonneohenro.tk/
and these were the clouds, duh |
Sketchbook Archive 03
Okay, this is the last batch of old sketchbook stuff, I'm getting irritated by it :p
I want to upload mostly new stuff, but then again.. my old stuff is quite awesome too *imagine me with sunglasses, if you don't know what I look like, just imagine sunglasses*
The reason I uploaded these in three posts is.. well, I scanned them in three days, so they're in three maps on my pc. to keep true to the word, I shall only use the Dutch word which describes my behavior: gemakszuchtig.
..ik zie nu al op tegen het uploaden van mijn portretten en ander werk.. ah well!
this one isn't actually in the same book as the others, but I wanted to have some color in this post. |
Sketchbook Archive 02
I'm sorry.. I'm making you go through my stuff in an a-chronological route.
I think these are from.. 2011/early 2012
Sketchbook Archive 01
I wasn't sure how to start my blog, so.. why not start with these drawings from one of my old sketchbooks? ;D I didn't usually add dates, I think I thought it was cooler not to (yeah..) but I think most of these are from approximately 2012 (I cheated, I found one that did have a date)
since I'm new to blogspot (or is it blogger now?), I might have organised the images poorly in this post, my bad. (trying though)
Yay, it's a blog!
Welcome to my blog!
I was actually supposed to be in South Korea enjoying myself this April and May. Unfortunately there's some issues between South and North Korea, causing me to remain in Europe for now.
Fortunately this means I've got time to make this blog!! Yay!!! Right?
Since I'm here anyways, I'll try to make this into an enjoyable blog.
